Default P67A-UD4-B3/2500k IBT stable but P95 bsod instantly

So the title says it all.

I can run Intel Burn Test 2.50 on Very High and passes everytime.

But as soon as I start the blend torture test on Prime95 it BSOD everytime. How is this possible?

And should I care and just act like all is well and keep it at its settings?

Try using this version of LinX. LinX 0.6.4- new library(10.3.3.006) Its just like IBT but uses a updated library for SB cpus.

People have been saying Prime95 stress SB cpus harder then LinX is. Also make sure you are running SP1 for win7 so you can take adavtage of AVX.

System isn't stable then, you'll see when you use the updated LinX above most likely.

But as mentioned, Prime95 will test these boards better for some reason, LinX will still push it hard and fail though once updated if settings are unstable.

I'd also recommend you test with several instances of HCI memtest, use 4 instances and then divide your free memory between the four windows and then test up to 500-1000%

Alright, I will try that updated Linx.

It doesn't make sense that P95 would BSOD instantly tho, also it doesn't matter if I raise the vcore to the moon, P95 still fails.

But if I drop vcore too much, IBT fails. Which makes sense, to me at least lol.

Ill post again after trying Linx.

Letting LinX run a bit, just have a few questions.

Im running at 4.4ghz at 1.325v and LLC Enabled. Right now, the highest temps are 73 on 1 of the cores.

Is all that a comfortable/safe overclock? Not that any overclock really is, but as far as pushing too much voltage?

Internal PLL is disabled as I heard it affects S3. If it was enabled would I be able to drop my voltage and maintain the same overclock?

    Thanks

Well it passed Linx. I clicked max memory, 20 passes. But it BSOD as soon as I click to torture test it with P95.

I guess my PC hates P95.

    Any thoughts?

    That overclock is fine.

Hmm, maybe corrupted P95 files? Did you try a new download just to be sure?

What QPI/Vtt are you using, and what memory speeds/timings?

Im using 1.08v VTT with 1600mhz RAM. Stock timing of 9-9-9-24.

I will re-download P95 tomorrow. As for now I gotta sleep.

    Thanks again.

How much memory? You might need a little bump to Vtt or memory voltage
