    Played with my CPU for a bit, yesterday and today, there is no way it will do 4GHz, not with the vcore I am willing to give it anyway. 3.95GHz looks more promising, maybe a bit below that.

    In all my tests, Prime95 proved to be a much better stress than LinX. Where LinX pass 5 runs with 1536MB Prime95 do not survive 10 minutes, wether it is rounding error, result error, or BSODs.

    As you can see I cranked up the Vcore by 2 clicks and bumped ICH I/O and ICH Core by one click.

    I passed 10 cycles of IBT with 51 GFlops, but with Prime95 the process simply stops working after 20-30 minutes, no error or anything, the process just shuts itself down.

    Suggestions? Thanks

    First find the FFT size that made it crash, it should be the size after the one that was last success. Search this number back in results.txt, it would be the next size after it.
    Make sure Round off checking and SUMM error checking are checked.
    Try to run that size only, click custom, and set min/max FFT to that size. See if you can reproduce it quickly.

    See if one click down/up MCH/CPU reference make things better. As always change only one at a time.

    Maybe try a bit higher MCH or MCH reference, this is my stable 450 * 8.5 settings.

    results.txt should be in Prime95 folder, maybe you only see results, it's a notepad document.

    Thanks for your desire to help but I really don't think I can use your settings, you obviously have a tremendous chip if you can do 3.8 on stock Vcore... I'm way above that now..

    I tried increasing MCH Core to 1.28 and we'll see if that helps, I may try a higher MCH Ref if that fails but so far Prime is running for about 30 minutes and it looks ok :)

    @Chike, since the process was interrupted and thus shut down, the FFT was not saved in the results file, which means I can't locate the exact one that failed.

    I'm running Prime95 now again to see if the MCH change helped.

    I know the value is not listed, however FFT sequence is exact same for the same min/max FFT.
    Search back for the last successful FFT you had before it failed, and it will be the next value after it.

    look back in results.txt for a run that passed the test after 10k and see what FFT size it is.
    Then select the test you ran (small/large/blend) and the custom, set both min and max FFT to this value and run.
