According to the pattern it usually goes 1024k-8k-10k-896k

So I assume that I should be testing the 896k FFT... Running that now...

Well, bingo, I was able to replicate the issue on the 896K test, BIOS:

    Code:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Model: EP45-UD3P Rev#: 1.0 Bios Version:
    Cpu: Q9550
    Ram: 4GB G.Skill PC2-8500 DDR2-1066 PI Edition
Power Supply Unit: Enermax Modu82+ 525W (580W Peak)

Default settings for new setups that are not overclocked.

note: replace all ?? with the value displayed in your bios.

Try 1.32-1.34 Vtt, looks like a CPU issue to me as you shouldn't be hitting memory errors with that high/loose of a tRD

    Thanks I'll give that a try :) Should I keep MCH Reference as 0.8 @ 1.2V or lower it back to 0.76 @ 1.2V?

When I lowered/increased it it didn't seem to do much help... Thanks

I never used a quad on 775, so not sure, I always used less than .76 (Like .68-.72 usually) for dual core but quad can be different and need more.

Did the MCH reference made any difference at all?
Try The CPU Reference as well.

Didn't make any difference... I'll try some more VTT first and then fiddle with the references if it doesn't help.

Try increasing CPU Vcore after testing with increased VTT.
Increasing MCH Ref and/or CPU Ref 1-3 settings above the default 0.760 setting might help.
Hopefully you'll find that Prime95 runs without errors for a longer time until you find the optimal settings.
Right now you have Driving Strength = AUTO for both memory channels. Change this setting to 1066.
Increasing Dram Vcore to 2.12 - 2.14 might help, even though your memory speed is currently at 950MHz.
Increasing MCH Core to 1.28 might help.

Don't make a bunch of changes at one time. ;)

Hehe thanks Jim, I'll make sure to try that, I have another PSU question for ya!

I didn't upgrade my PSU yet but I've asked around and people told me that for my 6950@70, my power consumption should never exceed 440W even with a very high Overclock, so now I'm puzzled,

I checked out this Tweaktown review:

And as you can see, it says that a 6950 with a 6970 flash will consume 361W max with an i7/X58 based system overclocked to 4.2GHz.

I don't know if I'll be adding a second card anytime soon... so my question is, to upgrade or not?

I thought of maybe running Prime95 along with ATI Tool for like 30 minutes to check for stability and see if the PSU can keep up with it.

As said I will be gaming on a 1920x1080 resolution with high-very high settings at all times...

    What do you think?
