    Just one last question about the References,

    I should set VTT to 1.2, change MCH and CPU references, test IBT/Prime95 and if stable, restore VTT to 1.32, correct?

    no for current settings:
    set vtt 1.2
    change MCH or CPU reference (only one of them at a time)
    restore 1.32 vtt
    save, reboot, with prime95 (or memtest86+ first)..

    begin with MCH reference, it most likely need to be tweaked, then CPU reference.

    Ok Chike, update:

    I set the FSB to 475 and the multiplier to 8 = 3800 MHz exactly and set the following voltages:

    ***********Motherboard Voltage Control*******

    CPU Termination [1.2000] -> [1.320]
    CPU PLL [1.500] -> [1.5700]
    CPU Reference [0.760]

    MCH Core [1.2000] -> [1.3400]
    MCH Reference [0.760] -> [0.8400]
    MCH/DRAM Refernce [0.900]
    ICH I/O [1.500]
    ICH Core [1.100]

    DRAM Voltage [2.1000]
    DRAM Termination [Auto]
    Channel A Ref [Auto]
    Channel B Ref [Auto]

    Everything else on Auto.

    I ran memtest86+ for 3 full passes, the test took exactly 2 hours to complete and was stable. Then I ran IBT for 10 passes at maximum stress with 33.5-34 GFlops and every pass was completed in 130 seconds.

    So at this time it looks like the RAM is stable at 475 FSB and the CPU as well.

    Now I want to move on to 471*8.5, what would you say should be the next step?

    Can I manage 4 GHz with a Vcore lower than 1.4 if I raised PLL to 1.57 and MCH Reference to 0.840? Will that compensate for a lower Vcore?

    Those GFlops are not even close to what they should be. How much memory was used?
    Try to repeat tests with the same amount of memory, 3072MB if you can, and for 64bit OS LinX is better.
    GFlops at 3800 should be 50+.
    I can't make what CPU reference is, is it at .760 absolute value? Please list the value for 1.2v e.g.:
    MCH Reference [0.8400] ; (0.76 @ 1.2v VTT)
    or just
    MCH Reference [0.76 @ 1.2v VTT]
    The absolute value is not so important.

    As I said before there is no point of testing 0.76 @ 1.2v VTT as this is what auto sets.
    I migrated the settings I have found stable at high OC to all my OC profiles and it seems they are holding fine, even if not absolutely nesessarry.

    I need 1.4v vcore with LLC enabled for 3.8GHz I don't know about your chip, maybe you can get away with less, but we need to try to lower VTT first.

    One last thing, set tRD(Static tRead Value in BIOS, Performance Level in MemSet) 10 or 11, for both chabbels for now, later you can try to lower it. Auto sets it too high or disables it altogether.

    About IBT, it's really strange, when I tried to test with 3072 it told me that I can't test with that amount of memory because it exceeds the available maximum.

    So the test runs at Maximum stress with 2887MB, when I did 25 cycles, the GFlops were 50 and every cycle was 90 seconds, however, when I ran it for 10 cycles, the GFlops were 34-35 and each cycle took 130 seconds to complete, I'm confused...

    Anyway, let me correct myself:

    MCH Reference [0.760] -> [0.8400] (63.33% from 1.32, or 0.76 @ 1.2, hard set, not Auto)
    MCH/DRAM Refernce [0.900] [Auto]
    ICH I/O [1.500] [Auto]
    ICH Core [1.100] [Auto]

    DRAM Voltage [2.1000]
    DRAM Termination [Auto]
    Channel A Ref [Auto]
    Channel B Ref [Auto]

    When I get back home I will set the tRD to 10 for both channels, I can try to lower the VTT, but then MCH reference will also have to go down with it right? Again 63.33% from what VTT is.

    If you can, please give me a settings suggestion for Vcore, VTT, MCH Core, CPU Rerefence and MCH Reference for 471*8.5.

    As I remember auto did fail Prime95, it's weird.
    IBT should no be effected by the number of runs, only the amount of memory.
    Any process that is running at the same time will cause lower GFlops, quit any unneeded application and wait 10 minutes from windows startup.
    I usually run 5 runs LinX not more than 10, I just measure GFlops, for other problems Prime95 should be enough.
    It's important to run the same amout of memory each time to be able to compare GFlops, run 2560MB or 2816MB.

    The references(percent) stay always as you set them regardless of VTT.

    Try 459x8.5, if 4GHz is too unstable

    Ok, I'll get home and try again, but can you please tell me which voltages I should try and tweak to get to 4 GHz?

    1. Should I raise Vcore or leave at 1.4?
    2. Should I raise CPU Reference to 0.8+?
    3. Should I lower VTT a bit?

    You may try to lower VTT and MCH Core later or before raising CPU frequency, don't do both at the same time.
    I can't tell wether to increase, lower or leave reference auto, may be either way, there is no rule for it except that the system is stable.It's like you'd need more vcore.
    Estimated GFlops for 4GHz 52.5+.
