    Can you send me a link to your exact memory? I looked it up, but I see 1.9 - 2.1V rating, not 1.8V. I need to know the exact product to make sure. The reason I'm a little cautious is that your memory is running at 876 MHz while it is rated for 800 MHz. That's a pretty hefty overclock for DRAM in a 2 x 2GB configuration. The processor will go higher with very little additional voltage. The memory however might not go any higher than 882 MHz no matter how much voltage you throw at it.

    882 MHz on the DRAM will give you 441 x 9 on the CPU clock, but to get there, we'll need 1.94 - 1.96 DRAM volatge. Please don't try that until I get the link to the DRAM, because those voltages on memory rated for 1.8V will fry them quickly, no matter how good the cooling is. We're at 1.92V already, and only at 438 x 9 on the CPU clock. If you had 1066 memory, I could comfortably get you to 4.05 GHz without a sweat!

    Sure man!
    The best clocks we could manage were 900MHz 5-5-5-15 @ 2v
    taken from a review for the 800G.



    In the bios it says 1.8v stock, but yeah otherwise according to that pic its 1.9-2.1v, so it should be certainly 1.9-2.1v.

    So how are we gonna do it man? (btw I tried 445fsb with 1.92v ram+1.29275 something vcore and it booted up, ran vantage, i recieved a couple points less than before lol, so prolly is the unstableness)

    Thanks a lot! Oh and I would rather not really stress the ram you know! Would rather have it at a stable reasonable OC.

    Great news! Your ram can easily take the voltage. We should have more headroom available. Take DRAM voltage to 2.0V. That's a comfortable mid-range value that should be quite stable. Make sure CPU voltage is 1.3000V and 445 x 9 on the CPU clock.

    Test for stability with those settings. When you get a chance, can you post your full settings? We may need to bump Northbridge voltage if you see numbers decreasing in the benchmarks.

    To get a rough estimate of stability, try the Intel Burn Test. This is very demanding and will stress things hard. If you're stable with that, then you can do longer overnight ORTHOS tests.

    The settings look good. I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. Proceed to test those setting for stability at 4 GHz. Is it stable?

    okay edit!:

    I ran Vantage again and guess what I receieved 500 more points!! Success man. :) Maybe we could even go for 450 fsb?

    Now I'm guessing I should do some intel burn test to test stability even more.

    Anything else I should do Outer?

    Glad to see we're stable so far. Yes, I would do some Intel Burn testing, and monitor your temperatures during the test as well. What do your temperatures look like? Let me know and we can evaluate what the next step should be. Personally, if you're happy at 4 GHz for long-term running of your system, we should look at tweaking memory timing to reduce latency and improve overall system response. Tight memory timings are desirable over massive memory overclocks.

    Yeah man, i'm glad too! As for the temperature, it is pretty okay, mostly it sits at 61C degrees@load (peak has been 63). Otherwise yeah, I would like to have 4GHz running for long-term. So I really wanna tweak those timings with you! (rofl that sounded weird) So what should we do?

    Yeah man, it's stable, nothing has happened so far! Last thing I ran was Orthos for 2 hours. I could probably do one more test, Intel Burn Test for example. Would that be enough?

    Anyways what would be the next steps? If we are there so far?
