    I just came back to my system running @3.16Ghz with Prime95, I it reports an error on core one. I just turned back down to 3.0Ghz and running prime95 again to find a stable speed, I'm guessing 3.16Ghz is just out of range with standard voltages.

    E7300@2.66Ghz, Artic Freezer Pro
    GA-EP45-DS3R Rev 1.0, BIOS Ver. F10

    Yes, I thought you were trying with 3GHz.
    My CPU VID is 1.2375 for the stock 2.93GHz, considering your low VID 3GHz is not bad at all.

    Ok cool and thanks off course. I'll let Prime95 run for about 8 hours. Assuming that 3.0Ghz is stable what would be the next step?

    By the way : the weird fluctuations I'm getting in the in multiplier are normal? I have all the C1E and stuff disabled.

    I'm coming up to about 8 hours of successful prime95 testing, so I think it's stable. I saved these setting in the BIOS as my "standard OC".

    What's the next logical step? I presume it's changing the FSB to 400 and the "system memory multiplier" to 2.00 (So it matches 800Mhz again)?
    Or do I now have to start changing voltages? Thanks in advance.

    Yes, SMM 2.00D and tRD set to 8 to begin with, 7 should be OK later.
    You can Try this with 7.5 CPU Ratio which will result with 3GHz so no further changer may be reqired.
    However VTT may need a slight increase.
    After that go up with CPU Ratio and vcore as much as temps allow or whatever you consider max safe vcore.

    I got it up to 3.2Ghz stable by the looks of it (memtest + Linx + IBT, not yet tested with prime95 though) with the settings you see below. Do they look OK? VTT = the "CPU Termination" setting right? I upped it slighty (two clicks) like you said. + a .05 CPU vcore increase.

    Did a little research and what I understand is it wise to keep the temps under 60C with max. load, I'm currently around 56C so that seems ok. (Fan at 100%)

    I have no idea what is a safe vcore, I looked at the specs of Intel and what I understand I can go up to 1.3625V, correct? Intel® Core

    So can I now keep upping the multiplier + Vcore + VTT to get it stable at higher speeds. Or is VTT good now and should I only concentrate on upping the multiplier and Vcore? My goal is by the way 3.4Ghz or maybe 3.6Ghz if that's possible.

    Yes, you can use a rising model with fsb+vcore as needed. Vtt shouldn't need to be increased with every vcore increase. I'd keep them within 0.1-0.2 of each other. But I have been told termination should be lower than vcore.

    wise or not, it's not always possible to keep such low temps, check my sig. For IBT/LinX have no feer to go up to 75c but for Prime it's a good idea to keep temps under 70c?
    Everyone draw their own limits, VID rane is 0.85 - 1.3625V, but absolute max is spec to be 1.45v. I am currently at a bit above 1.4v.
    Yet VTT = CPU Termination, I get away with 1.22v VTT at 450MHz FSB, might be possible for you too, also my MCH Core is at 1.18v, but MCH and CPU references and Clock Skews are well tuned. At 400MHz FSB you might not need any of that.
    Try to lower tRD to 7, that is what I had with my P43 board and DDR-800 @ 4-4-4-12 timings.
    So far so good, and looks promissing.
    do you have a baseline stock settings for LinX GFlops? Anyway y estimate for max GFlops with 1536MB at 3.2GHz is 21.63 or more. If you are there and Prime95 is stable than all is fine.

    Just wanted to do a quick update, I'm sort of stable at 3.6Ghz now.
    I'm fine tuning and extensively testing the settings at the moment. I will post them in a couple of days.
