    Guys we are up and running. I have 4gigs of ram now not 8. It was strange then when it booted it said mem check all 8 were there. Then froze. Oh well past all that. I am working.

    I do have some questions as I said I am a nob at this. The A channel for memory has 2 X 2gig. Can you only fill one of the slots for the B channel or must they be parallel with both slots being filled?

    But the big thing is thanks to your help I am up and flying.

    Answered my own question one bad memory module now have three installed.

    I'd go ahead and remove another module then so you keep dual channel, then RMA 2 sticks for a new set.

    Nice to see you found the issue, sorry to hear you have a bad module! :(
