You'll be ok using latest @bios to flash the newer large bios's,I think its for uefi and 3tb drives, once flashed you can go back to using qflash

To the op,is everything ok now? Maybe it just needed to rebuild the dmi pool data(a list of components installed, that gets past onto the OS) just before booting up into windows,as far as I know

@Jinnster when you say you get a BIOS ID ERROR. Is that the actual message that q-flash gives you? Or are you seeing Bios Check sum = XXXX. As long as the check sum has 4 characters the bios is ok to flash.

If you are actually getting BIOS ID ERROR. I suggest try to redownload the bios. Maybe corrupted usb disk try to reformat it.

    3. Renter bios and only set things needed to boot. I.E. set memory to specs with voltage. also set HDD to AHCI or RAID. Press F10 let the system boot into windows.

That is the correct way to flash so the system can build all the correct information for the DMI data pool.

You can flash with @bios same rules apply. You have to remove the check next to keep dmi data pool. If you use @bios as you will have to use it when q-flash will not work.

If you did not follow the correct steps in flashing the bios, I suggest you reflash the bios again. This time following those steps.

Another thing that you may want to do is flash the back up bios so the Main bios and the Back up bios have the save version installed. To do that; At start up hold down the "ALT" key + "F12" key.
yes, those are the exact steps I followed (used QFlash).
This morning the computer did the same thing. It's not fixed

Try this on start up hold down "CTRL"key + "F12". This will flash the main bios with the back up bios. see if that does anything.

Gigabyte support takes a little bit to respond.

Many thanks to all who helped me out with the good advice.
After performing a flash using QFlash, loading BIOS defaults, then matching the backup with the main BIOS (altF12), the problem seems fixed. It's interesting to note that the problem did not go away until I performed the altF12 back-up match. The first couple times it came out of sleep it took like 7-8 seconds, now it's back to 2 seconds.

premature posting, my computer is not fixed. I turned it off for a couple days, when I turned it back on this morning, the button wouldn't work, unless help down. I got the same errors
Main BIOS Checksum Error, it tries to reload the BIOS from HPA(?), fails, then loads the BIOS from hdd, starting the computer.
I'm real sorry I bought anything from Gigabyte, you should see the answers they provide for my problems (plus their warranty terms suck!)

Try to flash again and disable backup BIOS to hdd.
Could still be faulty BIOS chip, just contact their support and get an RMA.
