    Default Bizzarre Problem Z68 - UD4-B3

    Hi all.

I have had all kinds of problems with this board which I won't bore you with. Anyway have managed to get it "working" using F7 bios and unplugging my reset connector.

The only remaining problem I have is on start up. Say I've been using my pc in the evening turn it off at the wall go to sleep, go to work the following morning then come home and go to switch pc on again. It does nothing...... I can press it multiple times and no sign of boot activity. There are 2 solutions to this I have found, firstly taking the mobo battery out for a while and then put it back in. Not an ideal situation as I need to constantly change bios profiles, but it works. Or I have to turn my psu off (from the back of the unit) then turn it on again then quickly press the power on button on my pc. This works and is better than the other solution but is a pain, almost seems like I need to jump start my pc...

PSU (Corsair AX750) and Ram (Corsair Vengeance) are tested fine on another rig so the fault doesn't lie there.

The only time this board has ever worked properly was with the shipped bios (F4) I think. Anyway to revert back to this bios by forcing the dual bios to reset? Or even better anyone have an F4 knocking about?

This happens regardless of bios setting, be it overclocked or optimal defaults.

    cheers

    Thanks for the reply.

Corsair Vengeance (2x4 gb) same problem if I use XMP which set them at cl8 1600 or auto which sets them at cl9 1333.

Only F7 available on GB website.

System agent normally 0.925, is it set manually?
If you put it to sleep and shortly after wake it up does it work then, or it just won't wake from sleep at all?

If the backup BIOS is F4 you can press Alt+F11 at boot(right after the keyboard lights flash) to copy the backup BIOS to the main.

Could try with 1.080v qpi/vtt,every BIOS will be slightly different, some need more voltage than others and auto doesn't always get it right, plus it can nearly always be improved on by manually setting voltages
