You can control CPU fan in speedfan, select manual and limit speed to 1800-2000rpm

Yh I should have suggested that to you,to set up outside of case, you must have had a short somewhere, did you manage to reduce your fan speed? And are temps ok?

sort of, temps are ok 39-40d at idle and about 45 when i play games. but the noise is incredible once i was playing portal i couldnt even hear anything, i might have to buy different cpu fan, but the speeds are about 3200rpm at idle and 5000rpm at games not good :0

You sure it's the CPU fan and not the graphics card?

3000-5000rpm will sound like a jet engine, you want it around 1500-1800rpm to be quiet, speedfan should control it,you using aftermarket cooler and fans? I can recommend akasa s flow fan pwm, they are quiet fans with good cooling,if its gpu fan look in ATI ccc and set fan to manual 40-45%

yep i can hear the cpu fan very well, i did some research and its quite common with this cpu, funny thing i had my Pentium 4 pc for last 6 years and my fan was never that loud as the AMD

    edit.
As i can see in the CCC the fan speed is 30% and temp is 40 degrees. I dont really know how to change the fan speed in the speedfan - as i change the % it doesnt go down

So, now that you have it running, have you put it back into the case yet again?

If not, be careful to watch for loose screws, unused motherboard headers from the motherboard tray, or any cables that may get pinched - that way you'll hopefully not end up with any shorts again.

Almost forgot - it's nice to hear you finally got it running!

yeah i have everything in the motherboard, I think i could be short, but what i did now, i tried to screw the motherboard to the case not hardly, and i only used 4 screws.

Sorry, I meant did you have everything installed into your case.

You want the board screwed down securely, you can use only four screws if you want but make sure they are fully tightened so they ground properly (IE you want the metal in the screw holes to ground to the case, just nothing else)
