I have heard from my friend that he has the same problem on another GA-Z68X-UD4 and it resolved by updat to F7D BIOS (he obtained from Gigabyte technical support), now both Marvel and Intel RAID can be enabled at same time on his mobo .
i think you can try the latest version F6 BIOS on your mobo.

The technical support of Gigabyte has replied:
This is BIOS limitation. Too many option ROMs execute during POST may cause certain option ROM not working properly.

I think maybe you can ask Gigabyte for a special BIOS to remove this limitation.

It's a BIOS limitation, and I doubt they fixed it for your friend on UD4 either.

X58A-OC has a similar problem, and how I get around it is to set Intel to RAID and Marvell to AHCI, then in windows build a RAID array on the Marvell controller using the web tools, both work fine that way.

I don't have this board, but I do have UD3H which has the same chips, so I'll do some testing on this for you this weekend if I get time and see if you can do the same as I do on the OC board (Which I'm sure you can)

I have try to make it work with last Marvell Driver (1.2.0.1006) and both Marvell Storage Utilitys (4.1.0.1915 and 4.1.0.1013) BUT in windows the Marvell web tool doesnt see any disks.! (MB Bios sees the 2 HD disks thats on Marvell controller on ACHI mode).

I wish to have better luck in your tests.

I can't test right now, but how about you try it this way.

Make single AHCI disk on Intel (RAID ready registry edit), then create a RAID array on the Marvell with BIOS set to RAID and verify the array in windows with the web tool.

Then once finished, set Intel to RAID and Marvell to AHCI, then boot back into the single disk Intel RAID and see if the Marvell RAID array is still accessible in webtool and windows disk access, ect. That is how I normally setup arrays, I'll have one controller running a single disk array (Usually Intel and RAID ROM still loads) and the other will be actual two disk array.
