Default Top PCI-Express slot packed in on this board now

This is the third Z68X-UD5 i've had now after having my original one RMA'd etc...

It was originally RMA'd because of the top PCI-Express slot being dead and now after removing my graphics card and other components to change my CPU cooler, fitting it all back together and i get one long and two short beeps, though a graphics card works fine in the other PCI-Express slots.

I've tried multiple graphics cards, different memory etc...

Any ideas? As this is really start to annoy me and am seriously thinking of ditching Gigabyte completely and going with an Asus board as they just "work".

Have you removed mb battery overnight then loading optimized defaults? Setting first initial display as pci-e #1? Cleaned the gold fingers of your gpu with a pencil rubber just to make sure?

    Updated to latest mb BIOS?

Also, tested with another PSU to be sure that's not part of the issue as well? I know it sounds odd, but anything partially failing can cause any number of random errors.

And as Wazza mentioned, update the BIOS to the latest for sure, and then once you have that all setup be sure to flash the backup BIOS to match the main as this can help with issues too.
