Default BIOS detecting incorrect RAM voltage?!

have two sticks of Corsair http://www.corsair.com/memory/xms-cl...m1a1333c9.html They are rated at 1.5V. But in my BIOS DEFAULT it says 1.6V. However, I can set it back to 1.5V. Why would my motherboard GA-EP45T-UD3LR board detect 1.6V as default?! All this time, it probably has destroyed my RAM, then. I have the latest BIOS, too...

It shouldn't destroy your ram, just make sure you manually set it to spec (1.5v) auto doesn't always set voltages correctly

so that means ... there is no issue with the motherboard...

Could just be a BIOS bug with that model of ram? I don't know but as long as you can set the voltage yourself its fine,I wouldn't say its mb problem,my mb sometimes sets incorrect voltages if left on auto

Might be normal if its left on auto detect, could try loading optimized defaults, this will wipe/reset any BIOS settings so make a note beforehand, then see if it sets 1.5v on auto

Are you overclocked at all? If so it will probably overvolt your ram,I have to manually set my dram voltage,I wouldn't worry aslong as you can set it to 1.5v,even at 1.6v it won't be enough to damage your ram

I can't think what else to try

If you are allowing your mobo to over volt..it will over volt the ram and the cpu. Tell your board not to over volt and turn off LLC and see what happens.
