    Default Z68X-UD3H VCore Fluctuation?

    Hi there :)

as the tittle implies i have a UD3H and my Vcore seems to Fluctuate depending on load by 0.08v no matter what LLC lvl i use from disabled to lvl10 apart from the voltage rising i always seem to have the same 0.08v drop which makes any attempt at overclocking awkward.
basically i have to sit @ 1.46v idle to get a vcore of 1.38v underload this is with all the energy saving features switched off ect, i assumed i was just unlucky to get a board with vdroop this bad until the board died & i had to get a replacement which is identical with the same 0.08v vdroop
i have tried different bios from F4 to the current F9C beta with no joy.

im just wondering is this normal for these boards?
is there any setting i could have missed that would cause this?
could it be another component causing this?

im using Touchbios to monitor the vcore (have tried different versions)
also the psu im using is an OCZ-1000w-ZX & the cpu is a 2600k.

    Thx

Can't see why llc isn't stopping the voltage droop, tried loading optimized defaults and re enter BIOS settings? You could try clocking through dvid? Set CPU voltage to normal and make a note of what CPU voltage it uses, then subtract that amount from your stable oc CPU voltage and enter it in dvid +0.xxxx amount, enable eist in BIOS

That way the CPU can downclock at idle and use full 1.46v only at 100% CPU load

    Hi there

i have tried resetting the cmos/loading defaults many times with no luck, i have also tried using Dvid instead of a manual setting which helps with idle but im still getting the same 0.08v droop when i switch from a light application/game to something more taxing.
so you see the same problem still arises if i attempt to push my overclock any further even using Dvid :(

posted a few hours ago, but nothings appeared so im not sure if this will be a double post :S

Have you tested with another psu? Just to eliminate it?

no i havent tried a different Psu, will try to borrow one over the next day or 2, though all the other voltages seem solid.

What software are you using to see voltages in windows? Make sure you are using the latest versions of these software. Also check with different software as they can vary between each other.

im using Touchbios to monitor the Vcore atm im using an older version the newer ones tend to give me a Dot Net error, possibly because i have gone back to using the earlier F4 bios.
though both old & new version report the same Vdroop.
usually i use Cpuz but it would seem it needs an update for my board :(

    Hi guys

Finally managed to get a hold of another psu (xfx 850w pro) have just this second finished installing & testing it.
Unfortunately it's the exact same 0.08v droop.

at this point im considering just buying a different board altogether which im abit gutted about, im really keen on the colour scheme & the features are exactly what i needed on the UD3H.

i would like to thank those who have replied in this thread it really is much appreciated.
