Would it be possible to enable vt-d on EX58-UD5 rev1? If so, could you also share the BIOS. I have been looking for vt-d support, so that I could enable VMDIRECTPATH. Thanks a lot.

Honestly I don't have any other BIOSes other than what I've posted so far. I recommend emailing Gigabyte directly with their tech support service, that's how I got mine. They are pretty responsive (about 1-2 day turn around)

It seems Acebmxer cross-flash EX58-UD5 to test. I thought it is available already, it would be great. Is there a speical service suport email, or just the generic tech support service on their website? Thanks.

He cross-flashed because the EX58-UD5 and Extreme are pretty much the same board, just the Extreme comes with waterblock for NB. I just went through their standard tech support email option on the site and got first response within 3 days. This build took me about 1 month so far with all the back and forth and issues with ESXi (still not done) so you have to be patient.
Definitely check out vm-help.com and their forums for help with ESXi, and to save you some time, I recommend ESXi5 and not 4 or 4.1 as the realtek drivers are included. The 4.1 drivers made by community folks never worked for me.

HCHi Make sure you are getting the moddle of your board correct. If you have a EX58-ud5 yes you can crossflahs with this bios. If you have X58a-ud5 rev 1 then no you can not use this bios.

Acebmxer, thanks for replying. I have the original EX58-UD5 rev 1., when I attempt to cross-flash, I got an error message of "BIOS ID Check Error". Could it be the BIOS is keyed for EX58-Extreme only? I also tried the latest F13u last night, and hoped Ctrl-F1 hidden menu may be there, but it is not.

Sorry I should have posted then when I responded the first time.

    This will Void your warrenty!!!

    Create a usb boot disk.

    Copy this SPIFLASH.zip

and the bios to the usb disk.

Boot to the bios load optimized defaults.

Reboot and boot from the usb disk

At prompt type spiflash XXXXX.xxx(bios file name with .extension)

Spiflash will complain about a miss match. Ignore the error and say "Y"

It will flash and either shut down or reboot enter bios. Before it enters it will copy it to the back up bios.

Enter bios and load optimized defaults save and reboot

Renter bios and press Ctrl +F1 to see extra features.

I love the ignore error message part :)

For your mod BIOS, what version is the base BIOS? I installed F13u last night, and like the new interface where it shows indiviual core speed, and other unique information. Since it would void the warranty, I would have to think about it. I have also contacted Gigabyte Support for a beta-bios to enable vt-d. Hopefully I will hear from them soon.

It's based on the F13t-GK build I got from Gigabyte. It also has the newer MIT menu for CPU stuff
