Do you have something against MCH Reference 0.72? It's not personal I hope.
LOL, no I just assumed that .70 would be good for the experiment, and then if it worked I would back it up one notch to 0.72. (which was apparently grossly inaccurate )

Will do as instructed and report back!

Wow, I started with changing to 2.00D (and tRD 9), as advised, and rebooted.

Boot was successful, so I started with Memtest86, and it was successful with 1 pass of test #5! I will run IBT now. Do you still want me to make any of the other changes regardless?

EDIT: I never noticed the explanation of the A/B/C/D in the frame in the BIOS on the right, so I never knew the significance of what those letters meant until now. Good learning experience right there.

No, only if you get errors. Must have it unstable for that, See if IBT or Prime95 fail

    PASSED IBT

    and also, MaxxMem benchmark:

Everything looking good so far now. Should I run any prime95 tests? When you said IBT or Prime95, I wasn't sure if that meant both.

EDIT: Here's some other monitoring software

Yes both, since IBT passed just large Prime95.
But maybe add a click or 2 vcore.... I am missing some 0.3GFlops.

Okay, I'm going to run a click, and then two, of IBT and report both tests. Then I will run large FFT (8 minute tests I presume?), how many tests?

Yes 8 minutes tests for 80 minutes, then 4.2-4.25GHz, or maybe u want to try this first?

EDIT: we need 4.278+GHz for 30GFlops(round number)

With one click VCore, (after 2 minutes idle after boot):

With two clicks VCore, (after 2 minutes idle after boot):

Yes, definitely. It'll work out well for me timing-wise, and we could always work backwards if there's a problem

EDIT: Should I set VCore back to stock before beginning? Looks like the performance dipped linearly with increase.
EDIT2: Strangely, CoreTemps shows stock VCore for both tests, but I confirmed in BIOS that the setting was saved and booted.
EDIT3: In regards to EDIT2, ET6 confirms VCore:

Core Temp only shows the stock vcore it's not a sensor reading.
You can see the actual applied vcore in CPU-Z.

EDIT: leave vcore where it is, probably need more for higher OC, it won't work on stock all the way up.
If you hit a wall again, try to find the exact point(FSB) of failure.

I went straight for 4.25 to see what would happen. Passed 1 pass of memtest #5, and then ran IBT. Went away to grab some food, and came back to this:

    <img src = http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/2073/ibt.png>

Must've failed pretty bad, so I'm going to dial back down to 4.20 and run the same tests.
