You can probably do 3.85-3.9GHz with x8.5, the use x9 and back FSB to the point it results with the same CPU frequency, and continue up.

You can try to shoot for 500MHz FSB (x8) or more, but it's better not to stress the northbridge too much. The gain in memory performance is not worth it IMO.
For other than benchmarking and show off, 445MHz(or higher) FSB x9 should result with excellent performance and minimal nesessary stress on the NB.

With your dual core cpu, set Threads = 2 when running IBT.
The IBT GFlops score should be higher and core temperatures will be somewhat higher.
Using a bit more memory (e.g. 1792, 1920, 2048 or more) should also raise the GFlops score.

I ask to use 1536MB(or 3072MB with quads) for IBT because my records were made with 32-bit OS, and that's what I can compare to.
Not trying to set IBT records just make sure there's enough vcore.

Run minimal needed applications, like Core Temp.

This hypothesis proved to be correct!

Gotcha, I had just assumed that, when set to Auto, it would use only 2 threads. I re-ran and here is the new score - I had Google Chrome open on this run, but was away from the keyboard. Perhaps that may explain the slightly lower scores.

This still with stock vcore? Amazzing.
I can't get to BIOS now but mychip cam do 3.33GHz on stock but when getting to high frequencies like this it begin to be vcore hog, and for 3.82 I already need above 1.4v vcore (~1.37 in CPU-Z).

Using my IBT recommendations will result in a somewhat more rigorous test and tends to cause bigger GFlops differences within each test loop if cpu vcore is set a bit too low. This isn't a big deal as the Prime95 Blend test still needs to be run for at least 4 - 8 hours or more to help ensure that the system is stable. I also like to run Prime95 small and large FFT tests with higher overclocks.

**edit** With newer IBT versions, the threads setting might not result in higher scores. My recommendations definitely applied when testing with IBT 1 or 2 years ago. FWIW, I let my system idle for 12 - 15 minutes before running IBT, LinX, or Prime95 stress tests and always have no other major tasks running. I always have Task Manager, HWmonitor and CoreTemp (or RealTemp) running along with several win7 gadgets. I've found that running Cpu-Z has no major effect.

    Nice work
You will probably find that about 458 - 460MHz is the highest that you can go with the 2.40B System Memory Multiplier.
With higher speeds, you will probably need to switch to the 2.00B or 2.00D memory multipliers.
OK, I'm now back on the sidelines; your doing great with Chike's help.

I switched to 460 x 8.5 x 1105, and it wouldn't post. Tried clicking up the voltage once, twice... four times. Still wouldn't boot.

Perhaps there's another variable here? Seems somewhat strange that it would jump so high so quickly.
