    Default Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P + 2600K OC settings

    Hello!


    I have a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P mobo with i7-2600k cpu. I would like to OC the cpu on 4.5 Ghz 24/7 (or 4.3 at least). I have found a quite nice review on my mobo here: gigabyte-ga-z68x-ud3p-b3-living-review , so I used these settings to overclock my system.

    But I changed the ram multiplier to 16, I have Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2/4GX memory and on Kingston site it says: 9-9-9-27 1.65V, but my RAM is on 9-9-9-27 and 1.5 or 1.580V @1,600 Mhz. I am not sure if this is ok...

    On the other hand on 4.3 Ghz @ 1.300 vcore prime had run for at least 7-8 hours without problems, so I went up to 4.5 Ghz and 1.355 vcore. It was fine again.

    At the moment I lowered the vcore to 1.320 and prime is running, seems to be stable, I wanna run it at least for 7-8 hours. Temps are mid-70's, it seems fine too to me.

    So my questions are:

    1. Is the ram setup is fine on: 9-9-9-27 and 1.5v or 1.580v ? Or the proper setting is 1.65v ? (on 1600 mhz)

    2. If the prime runs without problem for 7-8 hours, cpu on 4.5 Ghz and vcore is 1.320, then should I leave the vcore on 1.320 with 4.5 Ghz ?

    If ram is stable and error free it doesn't matter how little voltage you use,you want to get the most highest but 100% stable oc you can whilst using the lowest voltages possible,voltage=heat so the less the better but remember to test to find stability

    If prime95 passes at 4.5ghz and 1.32v then see how much you can lower it
