    Question P55M-UD2 difference between Sata and Gsata

    Can someone please tell me what the difference between these two selections is. I'm running two drives one just for restore image and paging files the drives as well as dvd burner are on the regular Sata sockets right now. Thanks!

    The SATA ports are part of and managed by the P55 chipset, the GSATA are provided by another chip tha is then connected to the P55.
    The SATA ports usually perform better, with only 3 drives use the SATA ports, and you can disable the GSATA (1 less driver for windows to load).
