If it's only the memory you want to set you shouldn't change host frequency.
450x8=3.6GHz is not easy to do with the Q6600 even if you have a top cooler.

So what would be an obtainable speed with standard CPU fan along with front and rear vent fans with
my hardware I have previously mentioned ?

These Kingston Hyper X do not seem to like any setting I set in bios , it just keeps on resetting
until it gets a configuration it likes .

    ^^+1, I agree.
Get your system stable at stock cpu speeds.
Once your system is stable, you can work with Chike to overclock your system.
Your HyperX T1 memory is rated to use 2.2 - 2.3 volts.
    Many Q6600 can overclock to 3.2 - 3.4GHz, some can o/c to 3.6GHz.

http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KHX8500D2T1K2_4G.pdf is a link to the specs for your memory.

Hello Chike sorry for late response have been quite busy .

After I input your settings and also lowered from 9X to 8X it seems to be running stable
though it does still seem to lag a bit .

I have attached a CPU-Z test if this helps .

Can you post full settings? CPU-Z show you run default bus clock (266MHz)

Here are the current Bios settings I have just recently lowered tRead to 4 as it was not as stable
it still has problems when I scroll across to another chapter with a bluray movie the VLC program freezes
and the only way to stop the program is through task manager manually which it never had a problem with
doing so with the other memory though the performance has improved from before (file access is quicker) .

I have also been converting my SACD files to Wav files and it is taking a painfully long time to do or just
even converting Flac files to Wav files takes a lot lot longer than it should , I cannot have anything else running
when doing these conversions which prior used to not be a problem what so ever .

I had to lower tRead to 3 as it just recently reset

I cannot seem to get this memory stable at all everything
is on auto and still it performs worse than my original Corsair memory

Could it be that I am in 32 bit mode that the memory will not work in the correctly ?
