Default System stuck in power cycling loop (doesn't get to POST), any suggestions?

    Hi Folks,

I've had this system built for about two years now, and hardware-wise it has been flawless. It's used in the sound booth at a church to record audio and duplicate CDs, and as such is only run a few hours a week.

Last week it refused to boot, it just started this power cycling bit. I've just uploaded a short (cruddy) vid to YouTube to demonstrate what is going on.

    Power Cycling Problem w/GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R & ENERMAX PRO82+ - YouTube

I've pulled video card and memory and it has had no influence. I didn't want to unbuckle the CPU just yet in case this is a clear case of something else.

    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Bob

    This could be anything.
Check the power cables and try to clear CMOS to begin with. Disconnect the power and discharge the capacitors by pressing the power button once. Remove the battery and short the CLR_CMOS pins for half an hour.
Next i would test another PSU if you have a spare one to test with.

Look on the motherboard for damaged/leaky capacitors. I know the motherboard is quite new but that may be a cause too.
