Question New to the forums, new to Gigabyte, got a G1.Assassin.

    Hello everyone,

I recently decided to change my current motherboard (an EVGA Classified 3 E770) with the G1.Assasin, and I hope I made the right choice.

I've been looking around the forums, but I can't really organize the situation.

Thus I'd like to ask the following:

Are there any custom BIOS for my motherboard? For example, I'd like to have Intel's RAID OROM version 11.5.0.1109.

Does this board suffer from a cap in Marvell's transfer speed under RAID 0, like many other boards do - thus making it more effective to use RAID 0 under Intel though it is SATA 2?

Are there any user guides, suggestions and tweaks around that I can study?

Thanks for reading this, any suggestions are welcome,

Sorry for the typo in the title!

    Cheers.

Sorry I forgot to reply back to your post. I was gonna try to do the bios mod for you but the latest bios for your board G1.Assassin - F5c I was not able to download do to bandwidth restrictions. I could download version F5b from gigabyte but F5c. If you have F5c and you could post a download link I could do the bios mod for you.

All new bios can be found in this link that is stickied to the top of the forum. http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...beta-bios.html First page is always updated. But if you look back at the last 3 pages you should see a post from me of another place to look for modded bios's.

Hello Acebmxer and thanks for your response.

That's very kind of you, offering to mod a BIOS for what I requested, thanks a lot - I must note though that I switched to the G1.Sniper because the Assassin didn't actually fit the box though the other E-ATX I had did.

Now regarding the BIOS available, I can't really find the BETA notes from GIGABYTE (F4B is the one I see as the latest available) so I am not certain if I should use the BETA one.

    Also thanks for the sticky.

Anyway, I hope you find time to reply to me again - thanks!
