Default Z68 compatibel SATA IDE PCI card? I'm not asking for PCI express card.

I have a Z68AP-D3 and it is not compatible with VIA VT6241 chipset based SATA IDe PCI cards.
The VT6241 chipset is the only PCI Card SATA IDE card I have found.
With Integrated Peripheral/PCH SATA Control Mode/RAID(XHD) set in the BIOS.
The F4 BIOS stops the VIA VT6241 chipset Option ROM from POST and, the F5,F6 BIOS Intel AHCI Option ROM will not enumerate the Harddrives installed.
I asked this same question at: GIGABYTE but, there days after I sent the messege it vanished.

I'm not sure what you mean by the message "vanished".
It might be best if you contact Gigabyte tech support again, for an answer.

What is the brand and model number of the PCI sata card?
Can you post a link to the manufacturer's web page for this card?

Thank you for the quick reply. I was not expecting the quick response

I have tried two PCI SATA IDE cards.
With the same expected result as, they user the same Chipset(vt6421) and Option ROM .

The Vanished message was at: GIGABYTE.
I had posted a message December 1st 2011 and after 2 Days it disapeared. I then posted again, since posting in this forum and, asking why the message disapeared. A day later the original post reappeared.
No response at the ggts.gigabyte.com.tw yet.

Try contacting the Gigabyte USA tech support site: GIGABYTE - Support & Downloads - Technical Support - Motherboard
Let us know if they can help you.
I'll check the two links you provided to see if there is some information that might help.
