Question SSD Crash (dead) in Raid0

    Hello all,

I resently got 2 OCZ Vertex 2 3.5 SSD's installed them in Raid0, installed win7 x64 ult and everything went fine untill 1 SSD crashed dead and I lost the array. I got the replacement and have tested to make sure its good. So now I'm not sure what to do with the drive that has or had info on it. Can I use the windows setup to just do a quick format? Or sould I use Secure Erase on that drive before I setup a Raid0 array? Thanks for any help.

    Hi there,

I prefer to use Secure Erase to restore my SSD's before rebuilding a RAID0 Array, as this clears everything from the drive and gives a fresh starting point to work from.
