    Why so "high" for VTT for 4GHz? Are you not POSTing or instant BSOD if lowered? Im running my IMC faster than 2.88GHz at a higher BCLK and im just fine at 1.195v, if I do the 191x21 way then its fine at stock VTT (1.175v for my CPU) or even undervolted to 1.165v. While 1.300v is a perfectly good voltage for constant use, but is it needed at that 4GHz setup? May I recommend you try to stabilize first with DVID off, there is reported bugs with it in the BIOS code with how it communicates to the voltage regulators.

    Have you touched the "Round Trip Latency" setting?

    Hey, yeah i've played with the tl and hasn't made a whole load of difference. I've just had to up the qpi/vtt to 1.320 as it BSOD 0x124 on 1.300 whilst gaming.

    I'm not even at 4Ghz yet :(... not sure if its my chip or the bios/mb thats the issue at the moment... i'll try without dvid and set to something sane like stock which is 1.237v (or something like that)

    depends on your chips imc,i have two chips and one needs 1.32v qpi/vtt for 4.2ghz and other needs 1.35v for 4.2ghz with ram at 1600mhz

    Too hot! That is at least 60% of your troubles right there, even your IOH is showing heat. At 4.01GHz at 1.312v I load at 80c/78c/80c/78c same speed (but faster RAM/IMC), mimicking your load vcore I it goes to 82c, around 75c~80c is when the heat instability starts to show, over 80c it really brings havoc (some more than others as usual). Mine can really do 4GHz at 1.296v as it was but the temps have risen slightly (1.312v now, which is 24hr stable) making it unstable there and requiring a tiny bit more vcore to compensate (yes more creating more heat, can "compensate" for heat instability ironically, to a point). Sorry nothing over 4GHz with temps like that..

    Is that the minimum vcore needed to get that far or however far it got into Prime95? Same for VTT, that lowest? For that RAM/IMC speed stock 1.175v is all mine wants.

    ^ Okay...? You kind of said nothing and just posted a template and screenshot out of no where.. but your overclock though nice(some things need to be taken off AUTO), has a problem. Heat, you're almost as hot as k1llah3rtz with significantly less vcore, that should be at least 70c tops, even less, unless you ambient is like 35c or something.. If you get a better heatsink that 920 should do 4.2GHz fairly well as it appears to be a good one. I had the Zalman CNPS9700NT (NT is same as LED just different color, nickel plated color) while good for a Core 2 Quad its too weak for Nehalem, at 3.8GHz which was tops for me before I got my TRUE it was at 78c with the same vcore.

    GiggaByte, can you post your template with a Prime95 stress test please? Show us what your temps are like with your 4.01 Ghz OC in Idle/Load.

    I don't know what to change the Auto values to.Which bios version are you using?

    you only need to set the dram,cpu and qpi/vtt voltage,maybe set all your timings and uncore freq but all other settings should work fine on auto,ive never had issues at 4.2ghz on two chips,best to stay below 80c too,if above try two fans n push/pull or a better heatsink/thermal paste

    First is my x6 RAM/x12 Uncore setup, second is my x8/x16 Uncore setup. My BIOS is F14p, latest beta from GBT website. The second one is still being reevaluated currently cause of the newer BIOS as its responding to 1.275v VTT in ways its never done since I got it, being stable with it with the "quicker tests" which its never done before. The second template is also my first and longest used overclock with it, both as posted are properly stable. Still investigating the x20 multiplier fiasco too.
