just tried more vcore... that earnt me a 0x1a (1st one ever)... temps within 2 minutes hit around 82 with HT. have EIST enabled but hangs if c3/c5 etc enabled.

list your current voltages again for cpu/qpi-vtt and dram

did you manually set uncore freq? and set cpu and pcie clock drive to 800mv and 900mv? should be able to use power saving without issue inc c3/c6 states,i never had any trouble with those, you might need slightly more cpu voltage if using them than you would a fixed voltage, but only one or two clicks more not much

Yes to all.. except I have issues using c3/c6 steps @ 215bclk or higher. Like wazza ask post your settings again. Something else to try @ around 200 bclk you will need to increase pci-e speed. Try at 102-103 pci-e. Set pci-e voltage to 1.52-1.54

Most likely you will need a little more vcore.

Also some users have reported lowering cpu pll has help stability and/or i think help lower vcore or something with temps. I dont remember exactly . My cpu likes 1.5v for cpu pll. higher clock you will need more but push it pass 1.86 i think will hurt the cpu.

    CPU PLL: 1.8v
    QPI/vtt: 1.360v
    CPU vcore: 1.24375v (normal)

    dram voltage: 1.66v
    pcie: 1.5v
    qpi/pll 1.1v
    ioh core: 1.1v
    ich i/o: 1.5v
    ich core: 1.1v
your sig says 1.25 is normal not 1.24375... normal Vcore will change with cpu multi ie. if 21x is 1.25 19x could be 1.1875 17x could be 1.150. Make sure the bios is detecting your cpus dvid correctly. I have seen it change my dvid for 21x just by scrolling down to change qpi/vtt. Scroll back up and it would switch it back to 1.25.

I first thought it was a visual bug but when I saved changes and reenter bios it applied those vcore setting. I had to flick around to get it set right before saving or start from scratch again. It has only happend a couple of times.

1.25 and 1.243 at close together right...

just lowered cpu qll to 1.5v.. see what happens now.. at least the machine boots :).. so far so good.
