You sure about this? Just FYI Intel says 1.55v is absolute max(in case you didn't know).

how are you testing system stability? Post your full bios settings, depending on bclk, memory spd/timings, uncore 1.315 may not be neearly enough for 12gb at rated speed. Also keep in mind this board overvolts qpi/vtt by about 0.05-0.075v. Maybe not that high but atleat 0.05v and it will raise under load.

my current settings for my 920 (main rig) 21x220 HT disabled 8x memory 18x uncore 9-9-9-24 vcore 1.2500+dvid(0.2000) LLC1 qpi/vtt 1.395. I use linX for testing and avg 67-68 gflops.

Setting up board now for test, will test W/ 920 ES C0/C1 Bclk Monster, and 980X ES B0.

I assume it's broken since you guys have already shown it is, but just want to confirm myself before sending in a report in case I am asked any specifics as it'll be easier and quicker for me to reply about my own testing.

Also If you dont mind adding in one other thing to the report.

If overclock fails to post and it reverts to default settings but yet maintains your overclock setting it will always enable HT when it was set to disabled when overclock fails.

This can be every annoying at times when I forget to go back in there and set it back to disabled.

    Will do!

This is why testing ourselves, when we can, is important!

My 980X boots just fine with the 4G button, it even actually sets more than 4G due to using a 2000Mhz memory kit I assume (?), which it also way overclocked so that's kind of an issue too, but it was running fine

My 920 was major fail, it just acted like there wasn't a 4G button AT ALL! I never got any errors, and never saw any voltages applied - like it wasn't even trying. I tried many times, and it wouldn't do anything except boot at default optimized settings always, no failed OC message and no attempt to engage 4G, just defaults.

So, there is an issue with the 4G button in F5d, and from our testing it appears to at least be with the and 960 and 920 CPU's, but does not affect the 980X

I'll get a report in tonight or tomorrow on this! I've got a few issue reports going with the BIOS guys right now on various boards, hopefully they don't get too mad I've brought them so many things to look into these past few weeks

Thanks for testing. Thats weird that your 980x with 2000 ram actually overclocked the ram. Mine set ram to 1600 when rated 2000 but it tried to use 1.20v qpi/vtt it looked like in my video. If you want/need to point bios guys to my video please do.

Well this memory kit only has one XMP profile @ 2000Mhz, but yes I was surprised to see it overclock it that high too. And I was surprised to see my CPU booting with those voltages, and the memory doing 2550Mhz with only 1.6V. I'm sure it wasn't stable of course, but I never tested it to see, maybe I'll have to try it close to those settings sometime and see how she does!

In the settings pages when it was working like that, all settings looked to be auto / defaults, it didn't show any changes from auto/stock. Is that how it normally looks when 4G is functioning properly, and you only see the settings when it fails like in your video, or should it always show the actual applied 4G settings once it's going? I tested it a few times during my review, but I can't remember.

So ya, it works with 980X, but it's messed up too as that's way overclocked I'll be sending a link to this thread in my report, so hopefully they'll watch your video if they can't replicate it.

There is for sure problems with the 4G function in F5d with any CPU, so they should be able to test and find the same or similar issues.
