    Ahh, don't be scared of it, you can play and it'll be ok!

    Yes, either of your suggestions would work fine. If you want to try and keep 12GB then try the looser timings and see how you get along.

    Try these with 12GB and see how you get along, and don't give up if it fails right away, you may need to tinker around a little with voltages.

    Actually, here try these first for 2000Mhz

    Then I'll do 1866 below that, just thought the 2000 try would be easier as you don't have to adjust the CPU at all

    hehe did try with what you said
    lowest values of all
    did raise qpi to 1.350 it did boot no fail there, but did get checking dram and it turned it self of and disabled 8gb of ram leaving me with 4gb.
    did raise qpi to 1.375 did still get the dram checking. But it almost booted windows.
    failed an then I had to run to work

    Well checking dram means you lost a channel, this is usually too much uncore or not enough, but most often QPI/Vtt not high enough.

    Keep playing later when you have time and you'll get it going, if not try the slower options instead.

    did some runs and allot of fails but, will have it a go later today again
    tried to reduce timing also to 101010-24 with no luck

    qpi added to 1.415 also with dram volts at 1.66 and 1.68 still failing, telling me the dram checking
    havent gone uncore over 20x yet though so could be something there perhaps

    still at the 2000mhz options

    If you have to use CAS 10 timings, or really high voltages, then it's probably not worth it. In that case I'd say try 1866 instead as it should be much easier, or remove the ver. 3.xx sticks and just use 6GB (Those 2.xx sticks can do 2000 for sure)

    @ Ace, our testing result with 920 was expected, they reported back that 920 is not supported per the manual for this feature. So that's why we had issues with that

    They did ask if we know what BIOS for sure worked with 4G button and 920, so if you know or can verify which older BIOS versions did work for you with 920 they would appreciate that info so maybe they can check out why that is and try to make 920 compatible.

    980X and 960 should be working though, I mean that is a real bug we've shown with those CPU's. I'll keep you all updated on further info once I hear back again!

    Hey thanks for the update LSD. I think bios F3 worked which is what came with my board and is still on backup bios. I can switch to that and check it out. I can try f4c, f5b, and f5c. I would try f4 but its not on Gigabyte's site or in the sticky here .

    Anytime, you know me, I try to test when asked or offered, and am always willing to help! And of course I try my best to always update threads with info from Gigabyte when I receive it, sometimes I forget a thread though (Like the P67/Z68 loop issue I forgot to update here once or twice recently)

    I don't have F4 either I don't think, unless it's on a flash drive somewhere. I do have 014, 006, F1b, and F3 though, if you ever need them. You only need to test one BIOS version really, whichever latest one works for you with 920 should be good enough for me to pass along the info, but if you want to test all those you mentioned you can and I'll pass it along.
