eset did not like the installer, but you can have a portable version too, that is okay with eset.

Yeah, I have it set to detect PUP's. I leave it set like this so I don't accidentally install something I later have to spend time on to uninstall. The programs always install, ESET just keeps the other stuff out.
I don't blame these guys, only way to give something away is to have someone help pay for your site through ads or software installs.

    Darkje

if I use this harness you posted a diagram of below would it cause both fans on my silver arrow to run at same speeds ? both of the silver arrow fans have 4 connector plugs. it looks like CPU fans 1 and 2 are drawing power from the MOBO cpu fan connection. would that cause a overload on the MOBO cpu fan connection ?

Would it be safer to connect the power to a 4 pin molex connection instead of the MOBO cpu fan connection ?

    thanks !!

Safety wise, both are the same.
Using the fan headers will probably allow a neater cable setup and slightly less air flow restriction through your computer case.

Yes they would run aprox. the same speed, if they are the same fans. I'm quite sure you can draw a couple of amps (think lsdme said it was 3A) from the header, so 2-3 normal fans sould not be a problem. The fans themselves usually state how much thhy draw, looking at the arctic pwm fans I use, it's about 0,25A per fan.

I just spoke to tech support at gigabyte and the motherboard that I have is a

GA-990FXA-UD5 rev 1 Gigabyte tech said the 4 pin CPU FAN and the 4 pin SYSTEM FAN #1 can handle (at max) 12 volts or 1 amp at each of the 2 above mentioned headers

Sounds OK. Would be good to know if that extends to all headers on all boards, though. I'm running two COUGAR CF-V12HP Vortex off the cpu fan header, the fans are rated .34A I think. By the way at Newegg right now if you buy one you get a free HDMI cable.
