Default X58A-UD3R - Bios ID Error ; possibly bigger issues (RAM or Mobo)

The reason I want to update is because I've been getting 0000001a and c000000e BSOD and random restarts after I wake up. Tried different sets of RAMS and still getting same issues

Currently on Rev 2.0 mobo with FH3 bios version

    Wanting to upgrade to FH

Formated USB drive and extracted file to USB

    File was downloaded from GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1366 - GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0)

Loaded the file via QFlash, "Reading file" very slow, and finally resulted in BIOS ID Error

    What can I do ?

Should I download the file from a different location ? Ie Asia etc?

Please advise as I do not want to brick the mobo.

you might need to use @bios if its larger than 2mb,its a one off use, once flashed you can go back to using qflash, use latest @bios and youll be fine

    thanks that went through

Will check if getting 0000001a and c000000e BSOD and random restarts over the next few days

Any idea how can i diagnose those ?

I am afraid my memory controller on the cpu/mobo might be buggered from previous overclocks

    it's running on default now

it will take alot to kill a cpu, more likely a corrupted cmos or bios setting not quite right, could remove mb battery overnight then load optimized defaults in the bios and manually set dram, cpu and qpi/vtt even for stock clocks and see how it goes from there

0x1a is memory error, please test your memory sticks one by one with the latest version of Memtest86+, for at least 5-10 full passes per stick. Or run several hours of tests 5 or 7 only, one each stick one by one
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

I know you tried different memory, but maybe they both have a bad stick in the bunch? It's that, or incorrect settings, which could be possible if you are not at stock speeds and are manually adjusting memory speed/timings/voltages
