It still wont open the rom. I have not renewed my specs, that currently show the UEFI bios. I am now back to award and I need to modify award F10 version, which I am unable to open with mmtool.

Any chance we get a modified BIOS with the latest IRST/Realtek stuff for the Z68-UD7?

You can find BIOS F15r (latest beta) for the GA-Z77X-UD5H mod #4 by Stasio *here*

In the post you can see that it includes the latest available RST OROM along with other goodies.

Regarding the MEI it is not mandatory to edit the OROM within the BIOS file, you can update the firmware from within the OS.

Download the firmware updater from *this post*, if you scroll down you will see "Intel® Management Engine Interface(MEI) 8.1.40.1416 (Firmware)"

Extract it to a directory (I usually extract to a top level directory with a short name, something like C:\MEIFw, because I am lazy and I don't like typing unnecessarily in the command prompt).

Go to Start menu and in the "Search" box type "cmd" (without the quotes), then right click on the result and select "Run as Administrator".

From the command prompt navigate to the folder and then to the subfolder that is relevant to your OS ("Local-Win" for x86, "Local-Win64" for x64) and run "flash.bat".

    Job done.

To verify that the firmware was indeed flashed correctly you can, from an elevated command prompt (again right click cmd and select run as administrator) navigate to the folder "meinfo" (for x86) or "meinfo64" (for x64) and run "info.bat". The output will contain, among other things, the MEI firmware level.
