I just flashed that exact BIOS MrT0ad, having a strange issue with the four front USB3.0 ports though in that only one of them works until booting into the OS. With v14 they all worked just fine...

I've had all manner of issues with this board's USB3 ports, to the point that I purchased a separate USB3 PCIe card. In this particular matter I don't believe I can help you, sorry.

Thanks, I need to decide if the "improvements" are worth it then...

It is a tradeoff... None of the f15 betas had consistent USB3 behaviour for me. With the Z87 boards around the corner I do not expect it will ever be fixed either.

Hmmm...maybe I will look for a v14 with the latest stuff added then?

EDIT: Gone back to v14 and all four ports work at boot again.

Yep, in the home server board I rolled back to F14 too, having no overclock and fitted with dedicated LAN and RAID controller it benefited from none of the improvements in the F15 BIOSes and the fact that the keyboard/mouse combo would not work properly plus the many USB irks and irritations of the F15 betas quickly put me off.

But in the gaming rig the RAM would be very unhappy with the F14 and the overclock less stable (when the BIOS does not suffer from amnesia that is) and the newer OROMs are a bonus too, so, compromise was in order.

Can the newer OROMs be added to v14 (Not searched yet) or do they depend on features added to f15r to work?

I think it should be possible to add the updated OROMs to the F14 BIOS, don't see why not.
