Has anyone inquired on the first post containing incorrect GA-Z77X-D3H motherboard model labeling for a BIOS (F19i) containing the contents of which belongs to a GA-Z77-D3H? These are two separate motherboards, I personally have not mistakenly flashed an incompatible BIOS as of yet (thanks to combined caution and bongkie's informative post) so I can not attest to the dangers this may cause for some users.

It wasn't till as of late I had experimented with my motherboard and discovered the ability to manually switch between BIOS chip boot states. i.e. Repeatedly tapping Ctrl+F10 in quick intervals at POST which is not documented on any known search engine accessible website from what I could find. Even then the GA-Z77X-D3H doesn't support a physical switch to alternate the BIOS if the primary is too corrupted to boot.

That said, I am almost sure there is some sort of identifier in the BIOS that runs checks against the board it is meant for as I am sure that any decent manufacturing company that remotely cares about protecting their customer's investment would have anticipated such a situation. However when it comes to sensitive software that you are already taking a risk in applying, it should at least be labeled correctly for it's hardware counterpart when dealing with non-modular flash chips. That is risky business which should be corrected at it's earliest discovery to protect forum members. A quick thread search shows that stasio had previously pointed this out.

Thanks a lot, but i've made a mistake...
Stasio I'm sorry, it's my fault because I made a typo in the post where I was wondering if it was possible to mod the 12c when it is actually the 12a of wich i'm satisfied.
You were kind and fast in producing the modded version of the 12c, but it is the 12a that I would be interested to have updated with the latest ROMs.
Can you make this change of 12a with the latest ROMs and maybe the BIOS LOGO screen from GA-Z77X-UP7?
I apologize again for the mistake and I thank you once again for your kindness.

    Bye

    Cool Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    Hey there,

I have a GA-EP45-DS4P and it doesn't seem to support 3TB HDDs. Is there anyone that could create a modified BIOS that will make this M/B support my 3TB WD RED HHDs? Please?

Searched everywhere and can find one. I need to put 3 of them in RAID 5.

    I'd really appreciate any help.

    Cheers

Hi, could you try it : GA-EP45-DS4P F9b (modified with Intel Raid ROM 12.7.0.1936 and Realtek PXE 2.55).
(a feedback will be appreciated )

    Hi all,

I'm new here. I recently bought a X58A-OC. I saw the modified bios on the first page, but it seems like it has been a while since it was updated. Can someone please update it to the latest roms? Thank you very much.

I believe the Marvell controller might be the latest but Intel and Realtek ROMs might be out of date. I think the latest Intel Rom is Intel RAID Option ROM 12.7.0.1936 and the latest Realtek is: Realtek PXE ROM 2.55. If anyone can update it to these latest one please I would really appreciate it.

I found those versions of ROMs from the EVGA forums. The members update the bios of X58 classifieds still. It worked on my Classy. Would like to have my X58A-OC also up to date. Thanks!
