    hello,

thank you for your great work. I would be very happy if you could make a modified Bios for the GA-Z87-HD3?

    many greetings

Here's your "light" version with Atheros PCIE Ethernet ROM 2.0.6.6 deleted... 74kB free space instead of 12kB. Hoping it will be enough for your project .
    Hi virtualfred
Can u share how to check how many free space we have in bios?
This light version its not light enough :D
I need more space for inserting all kind of .ffs drivers we need for UEFI clover..
I found that i can delete some modules like intel ivybridge gop driver if we use sandy bridge cpu and vice versa.
then i found that we can delete my oem logo1 and my oem logo 2 for more space.
i know how to delete undeeded atheros oprom for rev 1.0 and rev 1.1
i found that i can delete cpu ucode for more space and leave only one ucode for cpu we use.
I need to know what else can be safe deleted to make moer space.

    thx.

G1ASSASSIN x79 users, ive found that the only irst driver that works fine in windows 8 64 is 12.7.0.1022, hotswap works devices are listed in devices and printers. All the other drivers after this one just don't work, either cause bsod, cant shutdown. or very poor read and write. Try for yourself, you will see that its the right one. Works ok with the latest OROM mod aswell.
A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING WORKS PROPERLY

I really appreciate the effort that you're putting into these modified BIOS, I'm used to seeing so many selfish or entitled users on the development forums I frequent and this is the total opposite, please know it's greatly appreciated.

I was wondering if there's a reason that the GA X79-UP4 hasn't had a modified BIOS made or maybe it was made but not posted in the OP.

I'm using a gigabyte X79-UP4 revision 1.1 with the f3U Beta BIOS and was wondering if you could do a modified version with the touches you've added to the other X79 boards.

This is a link to the f3U BIOS posted by Stacio in the latest gigabyte beta BIOS sticky thread. X79UP4.3u.zip

What I did was delete the other microcodes that weren't needed (Gigabyte included some for mobile processors?). I also updated the Intel Boot Agent PXE from 1.4.10 to 1.5.40.
Hello SolidBladez! I've flashed your revised and cleaned Mod3, CPU Micro-Code is Rev. 28 and all is working well and as expected.
All issues that i've encountered immediatly after the flash were due to 3Ware 9690SA RAID controller and the MEI firmware versions stored into the main and backup BIOSes that were so different because there were two so far releases (F11 in main BIOS and F1 in backup BIOS ).
I've solved issues flashing the latest MEI Firmware on both BIOSes (F12J SB Mod3 R&C in main BIOS and F11 official in backup BIOS) and all is fine.
Thank you so much for your appreciate support.

    Cheers,

    KK

Not enough space !? ... you gonna make a big party in it ?

After opening BIOS in MMtool, you can "Create Report" obtaining a yourbios.rpt, open this table with Bloc-Note, the end of "Firmware Volume : 02" shows you "Bytes Free : ..."

Have fun ... but keep a safe BIOS in the backup one...
