Just trying to get this modified bios thing straight so I understand and don't screw up. Thanks...
If a motherboard is flashed with a modified bios, then later flashed again with a newer bios that was not modified, does it lose the previous mods?
If that later flashed bios is modified, but one of the mods is an older version for some reason, will the motherboard revert back to the older version of that one mod?

    IMHO

    1) Yes all previous Bios mod are lost
    2) Yes it revertback

Because for me when flashing bios alls blocks are erased (using fpt MsDos command).

    Cool Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    Z77X-UD5H

Does bios include Marvell Firmware 2.2.0.1125b X64

I dont understand flashing procedure for Marvell firmware. Message I get is this update is for X86.

It seems that I need to create image file for my chip.

    Any suggestions?

Is this applicable to mod bios update or what?

    Size is to big.....1024x768.....(769KB).
    Should be.......800x600....(469KB).
    8bit BMP...is OK.

    Edit:

    Hi Stasio,

But i started by extracting original splash logo which is 1024x768 for 769kB, this is why i kept this size for my logo... are you sure that my logo will not work ?

I think the only risk is to have a black screen instead of new splash screen

    No,
I think both splash is Ok.
Your (original X79-UD3-F14) is bigger size,so less space in BIOS.
Just checked and X79 before use smaller size.

Thanks. I would assume it's the same no matter how the BIOS was flashed.
