I have an entry in my event log saying intel management engine interface is being disabled, is this normal for the newer software? or is it just not compatable with version 8 firmware? it used to work fine and I would get an event saying intel management as been reset, but since I started installing 9.5 versions, I no longer get any events except the one where it says disabled, that happens after installing the software. Is anyone else with a x79 board still getting reset events at startup?, if not then I think I may be right. I would like to try the newer firmware if you manage to get hold of it virtulafred.

Shouldn't your OS detect HPET then set the command itself, I have hpet on x79, always been enbled, never knew about setting it with bcdedit. Also, whats the hpet got to do with the clock? aren't you just forcing the OS to use the board clock?, please explain someone.

Hello, could you guys (virtualfred did the first one) update the GA-Z87-D3HP? They put back the final F5.

    Thanks!

Why do morpheus67's mods include the updated MEI whereas virtualfred's don't?

Having only one mod with the original firmwares updated, as long as MEI and GBE would be cool.

Simply cause Morpheus67 is smarter than me , including ME firmware is not as simple as ROM or CPU's Ácode, i don't know how to do it, and it seems that nobody shared this process with other
Also updating GBe firmware isn't done automaticaly ftm, you have to enter manually MAC's adresse of your LAN with HEX editor before flash it in BIOS.

I have the same problem... I can replace the usual OROMs not because I have a deep understanding of BIOS code but because the process is reasonably well explained and documented, the tool(s) are readily available and the replacement modules just one click away...

However how to replace the ME firmware directly in the BIOS file is a bit of a mistery...
