Just tried the msconfig and checked set to original boot. It booted into windows . Need to check a few more times. I have been enabling / disabling, optimised defaults etc but i still kept booting into bios first - weird. Anyway going to see if this msconfig sorts it first.

Firmware settings in OS ? Were is that.

Gonna try that right now, the method I was using to restore from DualBios was: 1. A/C off, 2. depress power, 3. A/C on, 4. release power and switch A/C off as soon as board powers up. Needless to say it didn't work. If it's really as simply as just holding the power button to boot I'll be very relieved. Thanks guys!

Any chance anyone using UEFI GOP to boot to windows 8.1, i'm trying so hard but no luck. I have a z77x-ud5h (1.) F16mod6 bios. A Sapphire 7970 (11197-11-40G) modded Gop bios. I set my option in bios to "windows 8 whql" csm-DISABLED and FAST BOOT,but it says "no bootable device found".

Is there any other bios worth trying? Or am i doing something wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers.

Shoot - booting back into bios again - I now have no idea why. And all i do to get into windows is just scroll across in bios save and exit. Really annoying me now.

unsuccessful. it was my understand that on this type of dual bios, when you flash a bios revision, it actually flashes the main as well as the backup bios. bummer.

If you go to change pc settings, update and recovery, troubleshoot, restart, uefi firmware settings, choose that and see if it clears the command, could be stuck, other than that, clear cmos.Oh yes, I want to apologise about 12w, the latency for some reason is my OS, something as gone wrong or broke somewhere, both bios 12v 12w have same latency, so I might aswell flash f12w back for g1assassin2.

well guys new X07 is installed. ;)
so far so good no issues apart from the bug thats been there for a few bios`s : change bclk from auto to 101 or you will not get proper clocks.

also i noticed there is no UEFI bios ???? this has been changed to AWARD only as in no 3D version ?????? could be the modders have forgotten to add 3d element as the bios is just 2D...

It shouldnt flash the backup until you have succeeded in booting to windows, doesn't make sense to flash the backup at the same time, you might aswell just have one bios, just keep your finger on the power, iit should turn back off if left long enough, try a few times, I had to do it a few times before it triggered the backup, you have to make the system believe its corrupt. You could also try removew the video card, then boot, see if if you get the long beep and short beeps.
