    Thanks.
The F7 MOD 3 BIOS is working well for me. Some have found the latest F8e to work for them. If the base BIOS works for you then almost surely it will still work if virtualfred modified it.

    @virtualfred: Thanks for GA-Z87X-UD5H BIOS F8e mod2.
However, there's a newer ME firmware version 9.5.30.1482 (at stationdrivers.com) that may be applicable to Z87 chipset boards. No?

I think if you look closer you will see that it's mislabeled. I believe the current firmware is 9.0.30.1482.

    GA-Z87X-UD5H BIOS F8e mod2
(I decided to give F8e another try)

Guys, check your vring voltage, especially if you keep the default uncore of x35! I was checking mine with a meter and notice it was getting as high as 1.3v.
Changing the uncore to something besides 35, or manually setting the voltage = no problem.

In all honesty I do not know if this happens with any of the other BIOS because I had been manually setting uncore + vring. When I get a chance tomorrow I will test some more.

Other than that this BIOS is working pretty good for me. I'm not sure why I had problems getting my RAM to OC before but it's working fine @ 2400/1.65v / .025 Vsa now.

....also I notice if you manually set vring to 1.05v, it will display in Tweak Launcher as Auto, but the voltage will be alright.

OK I did some more testing this morning. Uncore left at x35.
Stock frequency = Vring 1.003 v in Windows
    Overclocked frequency (4.5, 4.6, etc) = Vring 1.3xx v in Windows
    Overclocked frequency (4.6) & Vring manually set to 1.05 v = Vring 1.003 v in Windows

Since 1.3v seems a little excessive for Vring, maybe someone (Stasio?) could pass this along to Gigabyte?
Also vcore voltage response is missing from Advanced Power options & Memory channel A timings no longer displayed on first page of EUFI BIOS.

    Thanks.

Hello Virtualfred, i've flashed the 2 BIOSes and all went well and as expected. I've tested the new Intel ROM with HD and SSD and all is stable and fast, with some improvement over the previous ROM.

Thanks a lot for your precious and appreciated work and kindness.

    Have a nice week-end Padawan!

    Cheers,

    KK
