    Fred or Stasio,

Could one of you please build me a bios for the X58A-UD5 Revision 1.0 with all of the latest beta/modules? I believe it would just be F8b Mod 4 with the latest Intel RAID module.

Thank you very much in advance!

When I flashed this BIOS I forgot to update the Gbe so it's back to 1.3, and it works quite well too so I'm probably not going to update it, especially if there's little to no change.
Frankly I just had to look it up, the i217V was new to me. But it looks that the PRO/1000 PT (82572), 82579V and i217V are all successors of each other. The 579V had more features available in the driver than the PRO/1000PT, and the i217V seems to be a die-shrink of the 82579V that was only released in the last quarter of 2012.

It is possible that the i217V is having extended features too that might be disabled if it is appearing as 82579 now...you'd better leave that alone
if it's NOT the same chip.

    Cool Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    @ Virtualfred

    Hi virtualfred

If you have a spare moment, would you be able to mod the F4 bios for the X79S-UP5? Still having some issues with the latest F5C bios and since i have a rev 1.0 board I'm hoping going back to this one may help.

    or ftp://download.gigabyte.ru/bios/mb_bios_x79s-up5_f4.zip

    Many thanks in advance

Modded BIOS has nothing with any HD audio.
    Try to clear CMOS.
