    Hello,
I have some problem with my MB (Gigabyte GA UP 4 x79) as I am not able to set "non-turbo"-freq for my CPU (4820k). No matter what number, example 30 (for my strap 125 setting), my CPU will run as stock 37 which result in 4625mhz. Turbo is set to 38 for 4750mhz (with strap 125), so the maximum non-turbo freq is like 100mhz less than turbo setting...

I have tried to change non-turbo freq with standard 100 bclk with same result, 37 multi seems fixed (bios shows 3700mhz), even if I am able to change the number.

I would really appreciate if there were some fix for this, as I intend to run my machine in 4750mhz...

I use bios f6a beta (modded), and I think I have tried this with other bioses.

    Edit:
I have also tried to run my CPU/MB with 125 strap setting, but am not able to use offset voltage as my comp will not even start. It just runs an on/off cycle with final result of a reset bios. Is 125 strap even possible with offset?

    Any fix for this issue?

Not that I know of, offset IMHO never worked in Strap mode. I suspect that the given voltage ID may be linked to the multiplier and not really being dynamic according to the true clock speed.

Been using my X79-UD5 for two years now, never saw voltage offset fuctioning here. Then again it's not likely to work 100% reliably during transitions to begin with.

Question to the other folks here, does Strap 125+DVID offset work together on other maker's boards? I never looked into that particular issue so far, plain because I consider voltage transitions a potential problem, and the power that may be saved isn't worth the hassle-So it's disabled. It does not seem much.

Default Trim + Raid 0 check

    Hey guys I have a
    Gigabyte X58A-UD5 rev 2 motherboard

I put on the custom bios about 6-9 months ago that got me to a 4.4 to 4.5GHz overclock on my 930

I recently went Raid 0 and switched to a Xeon 5660

How do I check if I have a modded rom installed to allow me trim? If I dont have it how do I get it and install it?

FYI I totally forgot which custom bios I put on how do I check 8-)

I believe I put on the GA-X58A-UD5 Rev 2.0 Bios Ff3 Complete Mod

I have bios FF3 but how do I know which file I need for Raid 0 trim support?

    Thanks!
