    Hello, I own Z87X-OC with 4790s. I want to force the each core (4) to 4GHz for all time. The motherboards is with F8, and I try to downgrade to F7g mod, but mb wont boot from flash drive. Firstly is it possible to run all cores to 4Ghz with this board? Second - F7g mod is it right bios for that? I use thise article - {ftp_DOS-Z87

    - put all files on your USB stick
    - add the BIOS file you want to flash and rename it "bios.bin"
    - reboot and start on your USB stick
    - flash start automatically... wait for "FPT Operation Passed"
    - restart with CTRL+ALT+DEL

    Just tested .....flashed Z87X-OC from F8 to F7g.....few hickups...but OK.
    Now must flash back to F8.

    Edit:
    Reflash once more time with Q-Flash.

    Btw,
    you have BIOS switch........(2 BIOS chips)
    so keep this BIOS on one BIOS chip and flash whatever you want from second chip
    }

    What else I need to do? The flashdrive is Corsair Voyager Mini, and the MB see it in boot menu like UEFI device, but when I chose it - nothing hapens and after short time Windows boot starts. I format the drive and copy all files with desired bios renamed "bios.bin". Also I try with rufus but same problem hapen. Sorry for bad english. Someone can explain with more details the downgrading proces?

    sorry to ask this in my first post at the forum,

    but is somebody able to mod the F5f beta bios for the x79s-up5 motherboard with older cpu microcodes so I could use a xeon E5-2580 C0 stepping with it? I have 64 GB of ram (which the board never liked), and it took until the f5f bios to get it stable. Yet, I now got an opportunity for this xeon - only the board will not boot as it does not recognise the processor.
