Thread: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    Default Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

Thanks Teddybehr, I need to check what my previous Mod15 BIOS was using as that has caused me no issues at all. As I only boot into OS X (via Clover) this might not be an issue for me?

This is the choice I have:
    Code:
Intel RST OROM and EFI SataDriver

    1 - Update to v11.6.0.1702
    2 - Update to v12.9.0.2006
    3 - Update to v13.1.0.2126
    4 - Update to v13.5.0.2164
    5 - Update to v14.5.0.2241
    T - IRST TRIM-in-RAID0 Addon for Intel 6-Series motherboards
0 - Exit to Main Menu

    Enter number:
This is what the previous BIOS included:
    Code:
1 Intel RST(e) OROM and EFI SataDriver
OROM IRST RAID for SATA - 13.2.0.2134
EFI IRST RAID for SATA - 13.2.0.2134

    You're welcome!

Ohhhhh Hackintosh are so over my pay grade
If I were you I would stick with the 13.1.0.2126 just to be safe.
But it may not matter also anyway since the kernel might be able to pass through.
UEFI is a transparent layer but Clover seems to tap the firmware/hardware with 3 different possibilities including UEFI emulation.
I would ask Stasio here or Fernando on its win-raid website.
That is the kind of challenge he likes (Fernando).
    Sorry to be so clueless
    regards

What are the issues with the versions you mentioned when running Windows etc?

You may try this one. It's based on a more recent BIOS.

I donít know why you believe itís based on F18b? As stated in the post the mod is based on F18k and thatís newer than F18i. For your information you can compare the versions information from my post and the one you (and Teddybehrs mod) use:

    GIGABYTE Modified Bios-biosinfo-gif

And of course you should use what fitís your needs best but I would like to inform other readers of this forum that F18i is certainly not the newest available BIOS for the GA-Z77X-D3H board.

Hi Priskvark and thank you for your reply, However the link you posted to me - went to page 103 with no bios found until page 104 which was the F18b Bios update. Also i check gigabyte for the latest bios beta and it was F18i for the rev 1.0 GA-Z77X-D3H. Could you post a direct link to it or the correct page please for the F18k. And again thank you i just got confused with the page link to 103.

@ Teddybehrs - Thanks for your time and effort for this request. I have not modded a bios since the XGI Volari GPU days however i will look at the UBU link.
