I sent a PM to the above named member... I dont know if the PM even went thru...
I wrote out this long PM explaining my issue and hit 'Send'... but NOW the 'Sent Messages' box is still empty.

I really jut need a list of settings/readings that I need to adjust and/or monitor once I adjust the core clock freq. to 250... changing the CPU core ration to 4000 from 2800.

I just need to know what else needs to be adjusted and monitored to keep things stable

could it have a different nomenclature?

You have to go into your forum settings to have sent messages kept in your sent folder. I had this same problem a while back. FYI.

Hello Mr. Walnuts. 230Mhz is a good start without changing voltages. Let us know how your system performs at the 230Mhz settings I recommended. Please run some tests, and let us know if it is stable. If it is it may be set at what it will do, or it could go a little higher. It just depends on alot of parts, variations, and tweeks.

Much thanks to ProfJim for the reference...

Boondocks had it right.... the PM went through, but wasn'tsaved because my settings auto-deleted sent PM's.

and GREAT GREAT GREAT thanks to ArtDrivers for going out of his way and callingme at home and walking methru overclocking my CPU... I'm now running my 2.7GHz CPU at 3.5GHz with his help.

You guys have been a great help.

I'm sure I'll be back on more... specifically next week when I get both my:
    • mediocre EVGA - GeForce GT 520 2GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card...
    and...
    • my new GA-990FXA-UD7 Motherboard...

At the end of the month, I plan to get the FX 8120 Zambezi Eight Core AMD CPU
(If anyone on here with specialty experience thinks I'm buying a lesser than stellar CPU with the FX 8120... let me know. My other options are:

    • FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz (WITHOUT Fan & Heatsink)
    • FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz (WITH Heatsink and Fan)

Keep in mind that I'll continue to use my Zalman Heatsink/Fan...so stock sinks and fans matter not.

Regardless...speak up if you think Im choosing the wrong one.

Now that I've typed it out... the FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz barebones may be a better choice since I dont need a heatsink and/or fan.

I downloaded a slew of CPU/Memory monitoring apps:
    • ClockGen
    • CPUMonitor
    • HWMonitor Pro
    • i7 Turbo GT
    • PerfGraph
    • TMonitor
    • EverestHome
    • FreeRAM XP Pro
    • SpeedFan664

If anyone can think of any better CPU and/or Memory monitoring applications... please link them to this thread for me to download.

ETA: Nix all the monitoring apps listed above... they're all crap except Speedfan.
I guess thats what you get from freeware.

If anyone knows of any Pay software for monitoring CPU, RAM, and system performance, let me know... I don't mind paying a little for results
