    Default Can i use 2 8gb memory kits for quad channel

    Can someone tell me if i can use 2 memory kits being 2x4 each of the same ram, only difference will be batch, im getting a g1 assassin board this week and the 3820 cpu quadcore, 6core is just to expensive,i need to know if i can still use the quad channel or if i will be running 2 dual channels.

    Yes it would run in quad channel. Its just suggested that you buy 1 whole kit as they will be matched and guaranteed to work together. Not to say 2 kits of the same memory would not work together but it has happened. You may need to bump voltage up a little but that should be it.

    How can I tell which g1 assassin 2 boards are the good ones and not the ones that catch fire(smoking power phases)

    there is only 1 rev of the g1 assassin 2 boards. Just make sure you have a fan blowing on the VRMs and you should be fine.

    Can someone tell me the difference, there's 2 g1 assassins x79, there's s2011 x79 e-atx snd+gln+u3 sata 6gb/s ddr3 in, and 2011 intel express e-atx raid LAN and crossing x rev1.0 ,s2011 is 289 pounds and other is 299 pounds

    not sure what the differences are can you post a link to each board?

    and yes two kits will run fine,im running two 8gb kits on z68 board,what ram were you thinking of buying?

    LambdaTek Component Shop - CPUs, Memory, Monitors, Printers, Storage, Networking, Software + more , I see the prices are the same now I ordered already , my board is quick code B782045 and hoping I managed to grab the last one as it says out of stock now. Oh, I see one of them as completely changed name, the one I mentioned doesn't show up now,unless it the wrong website.

    did you order the atx board or the eatx? all the difference is is that the eatx is a bigger motherboard size
