no it wont hurt it just puts the power phases in a faster mode to keep up with the cpu so it wont freeze/crash,it wont affect temps, only cpu voltage and llc level will affect that

what controller? ahci? it shouldnt need reinstalling
I updated the bios backup just fine and put the settings you told me. (voltage response fast and xtrme performance to the Pwm thingie..) but the temperatures of the cores are affected.. they're idling to 32-34C while before they were on 29-31/32.. is this possible?

The intel driver can't be installed..

Unfortunately problems with the mouse / keyboard continue :( temperatures are more or less back to normal I guess

hi yh clear cmos should fix it,try with one step down from ext performance and see if it lowers idle temps,it doesnt affect temps on my board but its different from yours

where is it affecting the kb/mouse? in the bios only? or in windows too? try with the via drivers, they wont install if that isnt the usb3 controller on that board

Works good too. Finally getting SATA III speed out of that third SSD. Don't know why I waited so long to do this. I have all the games on this drive and it seems to load faster now.

It seems the mouse/keyboard problems are due to the fact that I have a USB3.0 external drive connected near the receiver. Apparently there is a conflict of frequences between USB3.0 the 2.4Ghz USB receivers, and also sometimes a Wireless Router.. More info : Re: Logitech mouse G7 freezes SOLVED! - Page 2 - Logitech Forums Here is the official Intel Paper: USB 30* Radio Frequency Interference on 24 GHz Devices

Otherwise, Gigabyte folks answered me proposing to install F15m but I guess this wont solve a lot in my case as the Wireless mouse/keyb problem is not related...

Glad you got it figured out.
I'm using the F15m BIOS. Nothing major in there for Win 7 users, but there appear to be some Win 8 related tweaks. Looks like all the newer BIOS are getting the same tweaks....saw the same things in the UP4 F10b beta BIOS.

Hey guys, I registered specifically to respond to this post. Ive been having every single problem in this thread since I bought my motherboard in July (z77-UD3H) and after trying EVERYTHING, I may have found a solution. Its working for me so far and its worth looking into.

My random rebooting was mostly when doing light things such as browsing the web/youtube or when the system was idle or watching a movie. Most games work fine (most and most of the time haha). Its just so random that it was extremely hard to pin point.

I ended up disabling the onboard sound and guess what? Problem disappeared completely. Sucked not having sound but it worked. It didnt matter what drivers I was using, having onboard sound enabled caused random reboots, specifically watching youtube videos. So then I enabled onboard sound and lowered the sound quality to 16 bit 2400hz (dvd quality) and viola, no more random reboots.

Dont know if this will help any of you but from what ive read, most of the people having problems seem to be running the onboard sound. If it solves your problems then cheers, if not, well im sorry.

    does seem a strange fix??
you tested with latest realtek drivers? and standard microsoft ones? and youve done all the usual tricks 100 bclk, alt and f10 to flash both bios chips ect
