I think it was 0x124. I have not had much time to mess around with it. I was hoping the next non beta BIOS would fix it. I'll try upping the qpi/vtt/cpu vtt a little.

124 can be not enough cpu voltage aswell,if its not that its qpi/vtt for sure,if you raise cpu dvid a little it should let the cpu idle with ever so slightly higher voltage and stop bsod if its that thats causing it

I just got my UD3H today and will finally get to play with it soon.
A bit lame question: could anyone direct me to an article about Ivy Bridge overclocking? I could google several in ten seconds, but not all sources are equally good.
Last time I overclocked anything was with my current P45-based machine so I am a bit lost how it works these days - totally differently, that's for sure.

Use the forum's advanced search to search for threads started by sin0822 by typing his name in the User Name field.
His reviews include detailed overclocking information in the Ivy Bridge threads.

Ace, add links to his Ivy Bridge o/c threads in the first post as well as other good IB o/c guides.

Fixed. Pretty handy way the profiles work here I must say.

I just finished briefly running through the overclocking guide. Nice job there. It still doesn't answer my questions though. I am interested in overclocking my system on default voltages or even slightly under. The trouble is I can't seem to find what those vaules are at all! Tried to google a bit for at least the very basic VCORE value for my CPU but couldn't find anything.

I've seen many cases where an Ivy Bridge system will overclock to about 4.0 - 4.2GHz with stock voltage.
Many z77 systems have a "magic" overclock button that will o/c the system to these values.
With power savings options enabled, the cpu vcore will be lower than the normal vcore value.
Cpu-z and other programs will report the normal vcore value and you should see this value in the bios.

4GHz is absolutely ok for me - I got a bit older and don't care for numbers all that much anymore.

    More questions:
When going through all the bios options, what does "normal" stand for?
What are the values in first column? Are those some sort of defaults? Like all those special voltages for CPU, or the timings for memory for example.

I assume I shouldn't keep anything on auto settings. Should I just make note of all the values I can find with power saving options disabled and manually set them?

Oh and uh, I might have missed something, but what's up with that vcore value under CPU core voltage control? The number on the left magically changes whenever I raise multiplier. I assume default vcore for 3770K is 1.025V, and when I changed multiplier from 35 to 40, this changed to 1.150 (I think). How shall I understand this?
