Which of the "special" voltages has the biggest impact on memory stability? VTT or IMC?

I can't even friggin' install Windows! I get to the first screen and it freezes. F*ck! I ramped both the voltages to some obscure heights and I could use keyb and mouse, but that's not an option, plus I really don't know what am I doing there. And I still believe it just should work out of the box.
Why I didn't have these problems until today is a huge mystery though.

I take one of my previous statements back. No matter what I do, I just can't get to make even Windows installer to work.

I will RMA the cpu, board and memory tomorrow - this is pointless effort and wasted time. Too bad it will take 30 days before they either give me replacements (the better variant) or tell me to piss off cause it work for them.

The thing is the cpu only supports 1333/1600mhz ram see here - Intel® Core anything over those speeds is technically overclocking as you are tring to push the IMC to run memory at faster then rated speeds.

Well, I have all sorts of weird things going on even with XMP disabled, running at 1333.
    Plus I didn't have problems until yesterday/today!

So far from my testing with 16gb of ram at 11-11-11-32-1t 1.65v I need 1.100 vatted and 1.095 IMC. This was keeping imc 0.005 less then vtt. Will try to drop vtt first then imc and see which one is needed.

Also my statement about working out of the box the other thing I forgot to say is that running.g 16gb is also stressing the imc more then 8gb would. So you will need to adjust voltage accordenly.

I managed to reinstall Windows somehow (with some problems). Right after first boot, unrecoverable error, system will restart. After that, Explorer stopped working 5 times in a row.
34 WHEA errors in EventLog within 10 minutes.

    RMA time baby.
I suspect the CPU is dying.

Ha! I think I got it.
After enabling just ONE core all the problems are gone. No errors, no BSODs, no crap in the log, Prime is happily grinding numbers with default voltages.
RMA time - I said it! But at least it's "just" the CPU.

I retract my last statement as my vcore was not set correctly. I have corrected that and set vtt and imc to auto and the system is stable so far.

Try reflashing the BIOS and make surrounding back up BIOS match main BIOS.

Yeah sounds like it was the CPU. Maybe check CPU socket for bent pins. Check contacts on CPU make sure each one has a mark on it from a pin. Make sure CPU cooler is not to tight.

lol I just got a call from a tech regarding the RMA. Seems like the board freaked out and fried one of the cores since a corner of the cpu was somewhat burned from underneath (I didn't notice that at all). Also he couldn't even get the board to work at all. Weird stuff going on.

I will be getting brand new board+cpu tomorrow. Yay!
