Yep, knew that. That's why I said I'll dig out the wired later on, I got it boxed up with the Z68 rig I'm trying to sell. Or wait until tomorrow and borrow my wifes wired KB, idk.
Come to think of it I have to dig it out anyway, gonna have the Switch and the HAF in here pretty soon.

Ace, are you running RAID on your mobo? Or anyone else? I'm getting ready to fire up the other UD5 pretty soon, haven't set up RAID in years and years. Going to use the 2 Samsung 830 128GB SSD's. Is this pretty straight forward or anything to look out for. Ashamed I don't know this stuff.....
Am I going to have to go in and setup the SSD's so it won't try to default to GPT like my other drive did, or will the RAID rom pretty much take control? Do I use XHD/preinstall drivers?
Just trying to avoid any ooops! Need this to go smoothly. Of course I could always RTM, but what's the fun in that? lol.

It should be straight forward, with both drives connected set the sata controller to raid and just boot windows as if you only had 1 hdd/ssd. You should not need any preinstalled drivers and Windows should have drivers already. Once the OS is installed the download and install the latest Intel RST drivers.

I did forget that you will have to press CTRL+I I beleive to enter the intel raid configuration and create the raid array. You would want to set up a raid0 array for speed.

As for trim working I would need to mod your bios with the latest raid rom. If you want you can set it all up with your current bios/raid rom and do a test then flash to the modded bios and compare the changes if any. You will not have to recreate the array or anything just reaply your overclock and make sure sata controller is set to raid before you try to boot to windows.

Got my new build with my other UD5H fired up finally. Getting to the RAID menu was a pain for some reason, but otherwise everything looking good. Set up a quick x45 overclock, haven't really tested it out much. Was hopeful when I looked at the Samsung utilities for the SSD's because it supposedly had enhanced utilities for TRIM and garbage collection, but alas it won't see the drives in RAID.
    I'll get some ASSD data....

    EDIT: here's the 128GB Samsung 830's in RAID 0

glad to hear you got it working. So moving from a SSD to a raid0 with ssd's is it really worth it?

Got my RMA back and so far so good (Came back with F8). One biggie was the eSATA box I had would not let it cold boot. There is no probs there now.
No BSOD. No random boots or waking from sleep at will.
None of the Event Viewer critical errors and warnings are there anymore. I was getting a DR (Drive Removable) critical error on any USB port I inserted a device into. I am running the same OS install as before, just plugged the drives back in and she is all good.
The RAM is the only thing different.

Still no Wireless keyboard BIOS entry for me. Oh well.

While the mobo was away because my GPU was idling around 50c I took a look under the Sapphire 6850's hood and seen the thermal paste on the thing was in perfect form as if it were painted on using a stencil. No smush spreadage.

This told me it was either dried hard when assembled or it was not contacting very hard. I replaced it with Arctic Silver 5 and did a test assembly and when I pulled it apart it was mushed pretty good so I guess the original was dried hard before the factory assembly?
I reapplied a thin coat and She is idling and casual running @ 39c now. thumb.gif
