I would try to offer you help but I am not familiar with AMD boards at all. But I do know on the Intel side of things each chip set needs a different version of cbrom to work. I know for P45, X58 cbrom115 works. I think for p67/z68 cbrom198 works. Z77 chip set switched to a UEFI bios and does not use cbrom to do its modding.

So first make sure you are using the correct version of cbrom. One thing to look for while modding if it is the correct version. When replacing a orom the place holder should not change positions when using the /d switch.

Also make sure the AHCI rom that you are trying to use is from a AMD bios and not a Intel bios along with one for your chip set. Even on Intel side there is a newer AHCI rom for p67 that can only be used on that chip set unless it is modded to work on others which take some time and skills.

The only thing I can suggest unless somoen else who has modded AMD bios is to try a different version of cbrom. If you are using the correct version that place holder should not move it should just update to the newer rom.

Another thing you can try to do is /pci release first then then do pci /xxxx.xxx to add it back in.
