Just to finalize the stress testing...total test time without errors was 12hrs and 43 min.

Ok ...Next steps....Do I go higher? My goal was 3.2ghz, so this is where I am at. Assuming I stay at 3.2ghz, what other settings do I need to make? Are these settings ok?

    Open to ideas .....

Create a saved bios profile for your current settings.
    Good job with the details.
Please post a Memset screen-shot and press the "">>" and SPD buttons to show the memory settings for both channels and Memset's more detailed SPD information for your memory.

A 100MHz increase in cpu speed won't make a noticeable difference in real world performance, but there should be a lot more o/c for your cpu. As I recall, Conners felt the afterburners kick in when he took his Q9550 from 3.6GHz to 3.8GHz. You can have multiple saved bios profiles that are stable and you can load one of these profiles based on how much need for speed you have for gaming or specific applications. This approach lets you use "cruise" mode for everyday use and a higher overclock (with higher temperatures) whenever you want.

I like to run each of the Prime95 tests, Blend, small FFT and large FFT for 8 - 12 hours each to confirm that my system is stable.

I'm bothered by some of the displayed AUTO values in your bios and the fact that your system has issues with some manual settings that should work fine. I have an idea that might solve the problem, but I need to think it through a bit more before I make a suggestion. If you're into gaming or running any intensive programs such as encoding or image manipulation, run the games or programs as part of the stress testing.

PJ you may be thinking about wot Im thinking. The auto setting also bother me especially the timings. I think wot I would do is is get the DRAM Timing Selectable set to manual and manually set the main timings to their default values.

    Such as:

    CAS Latency Time........................ 9...............9
    tRCD .........................................9........ .......9
    tRP'...........................................9.. ................9
    tRAS..........................................24.. ..............24
Static tRead Value.........................:Auto.......9 or 10 on both A&B channels
    Command Rate (CMD) ....................:2

Did you notice Jim that the auto settings for Static tRead Value on A channel is 9 and channel B is 7?

Also the dram voltage bothers me a little not to mention reference voltages.

OH BTW Jim I'm more of an Independant.

Now that I have a relatively stable setting, should I try again with some manual settings with the memory settings? Obviously the concerns you both have centre around the auto settings and need to to be set to manual, so let me know what I should try and I will.

I tried manual again, got an error on boot. Set back to auto, and the static read values have gone back to 10 on both channels.

What other settings are you concerned about, and may need reviewing?
